Recipe Roundup - Our Favourite Recipes from May

June 5, 2012

Already a month gone by since our last  Recipe Roundup, which featured our top 5 favourite grilled cheese recipes. Since then, food bloggers have kept our mouths watering with loads of recipes that we couldn't wait to feature on our site.

What does it take for a recipe to be considered a favourite of ours? All we need is a picture of food that makes us go "Must try that!"

Here are our top 5 faves from the month of May (in no particular order.)

1. Mac n' Cheese Bread bowls from That Was Vegan?

If you are craving carbs, this ought to satisfy you! This creamy, delicious treat is made with Daiya Cheddar Style Shreds and butternut squash. Ultimate comfort food right here!

2. Vegan Cheesy Grilled Pablano Peppers from Busy Vegetarian Mom.

For something a little more spicy, these stuffed peppers are looking pretty tempting. They are made with Daiya Pepperjack Shreds with some added spice from Chipotle chili powder and Mexican paprika. Yum!

3. Southwestern Grilled Cheese Sandwich from Namely Marly.

This recipe has a little more going on than your typical grilled cheese! This sandwich is made with the Daiya Jalapeno Garlic Havarti Style Wedge, sweet potato, peppers, beans, and salsa. We can't wait to try this one!

4. Vegan Rika Pizza from Vegan Miam.

Just look at all the beautiful colours on this pizza! Vegan Miam always has such delicious-looking photos on her blog, it was hard to choose just one. This pizza is made with Daiya Cheddar Style Shreds, mushrooms, chopped fresh basil, tomatoes, red onion, pepperoncini, and fresh tomato sauce.  Vegan Miam, don't be surprised if the Daiya team shows up on your doorstep for some pizza!

5. Vegan Pesto Pizza from Nicole Leigh.

Here is another drool-worthy pizza photo (can you tell that we are big pizza fans at Daiya?) This one is made with the Daiya Jack Style Wedge, vegan pesto, and vegan alfredo sauce. This one is bound to satisfy any cheese craving!

Those are our top 5 favourite recipes for the month of May. If you would like to have your creation featured in our Recipe Roundup, be sure to send us a link to your blog. We can't wait to see what recipes are in store for us this month!
